Look for Less

Sometimes a look for less is so good I have to post it. I am sure Ivanka is wearing the Aquazurra's but she sure did a great job knocking them off for the rest of us.

A Great Zara Dress and How to Wear

This dress from Zara looks much more expensive than what it is. Love it with the orange bag--orange is big for spring. It is fun to use it as a pop of color in an accessory. I find it tough to wear in clothing.

Spring 2016: Pantone Colors and Major trends

Here are some major trends coming this next season: via Elle
Victorian Everything:
Ruffles, puffy sleeves, high-collar necklines, and loads of flowers—we spied these Victorian-era influences and more at shows like Emilia Wickstead, J.W. Anderson, and Erdem.

70's suede
If you thought the fashion pack was done with its '70s-inspiration love affair, you'd be wrong. Jonathan Saunders, Alberta Ferretti, Rebecca Minkoff, and Olivier Rouesteing all sent pieces made of suede down the runway, one of the decade's most-loved fabrics.

X-shape necklines:
Consider it a new riff on the off-the-shoulder top we saw all last spring. Spotted at Proenza Schouler, Givenchy, Jason Wu, ADEAM, and Derek Lam, this silhouette was top among major designers.

crisp white shirts:
A basic white button down for spring? Not if you're 3.1 Phillip Lim, Tome, Monse, Delpozo, or Zac Posen. This season the classic oxford received a designer makeover, taking it from simple to souped-up.

the flat mule:
Comfortable shoes are still trending thanks to brands such as Trademark, Alexander Wang, Victoria Beckham, and Edun. To that we say #blessed.

Spanish influences:
Proenza Schouler, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Jonathan Simkhai, and Peter Copping for Oscar de la Renta: All 5 designers (and more!) incorporated hints of Spanish culture into their collections, from bold red hues to toreador-esque flourishes.

Pleats:
Well, it looks we're downsizing on those carwash pleats that are so big for fall 2015. Instead designers such as Altuzarra, Tome, Boss, and Proenza Schouler have turned their sights towards a tinier, tighter knife pleat.

Paper bag waist:
Though it's not exactly the easiest trend to wear in real life, that didn't stop 3.1 Phillip Lim, Public School, Tome, or Tibi from sending skirts and pants with the roomy silhouette down their runways. Our suggestion? Pair yours with a piece that's tighter on top.

Net:
Marchesa, Alexander Wang, Cushnie et Ochs, Tome, Proenza Schouler, Dion Lee, Creatures of the Wind—everywhere we turned a model was caught in a designer net.

Marled knits:
Something about knits for spring doesn't quite sound right on the surface, but after seeing selects from Wes Gordon, Michael Kors, Creatures of Comfort, Jason Wu, and BCBG, we're on board.

Lingerie inspired pieces:
The pieces that are normally relegated to the bedroom are getting their day in the sun. Alexander Wang, Wes Gordon, Givenchy, Calvin Klein, and Yigal Azrouël-tested, editor approved.

Fringe:
Fringe has been trending for a few seasons now, and after seeing it at Derek Lam, Edun, Boss, Diane von Furstenberg, Anna Sui, and Prabal Gurung it's clear the swingy trim is here to stay.

Lightweight denim:
Warm-weather denim is nothing new, but that didn't stop many designers from showing it in their spring 2016 collections. Gabriela Hearst, Opening Ceremony, Jil Sander Navy, Cushnie et Ochs, Suno, and others sent jean dresses, shirts, skirts, and more down the runway.

Half moon bags:
Watch out buckets, there's a new shape that's about to take the fashion world by storm. Victoria Beckham, Michael Kors, and even the designers who made the bucket bag a thing, Mansur Gavriel, have all turned their sights towards the half-moon shape.

Orange/Coral:
Yes, it's a pretty in-your face color, but that didn't stop Dion Lee, Adam Selman, Baja East, Veronica Beard, or Altuzarra from highlighting it in their collections. Orange, in a variety of shades, will be your go-to hue next season.
Big plaids:
Gingham will always have a place in our hearts (and on the runways) but this season, designers are saying, "supersize me." We spotted large plaids at Thakoon, Marissa Webb, Brooks Brothers, Victoria Beckham, and Wes Gordon, to name a few.
