Going Camping!!!

We are off on our annual (as of last year!!!) pilgrimage to El Capitan, Santa Barbara to glamp our faces off with 3 children, 2 giant coolers filled with assorted things to cook over an open flame, flashlights, swimsuits, bikes, boogie boards, bug spray, sunscreen and a partridge in a pear tree! You get the idea. This is one of our children's favorite trips of the year. They love camping out, devouring s'mores and basically being on the lamb for a few days. No gadgets, no TV, just a pool, bikes, a beach and a campfire.  We are all in heaven. We don't get a lot of sleep but the memories are amazing. We go with our friends and their kids and it is dreamy. I love my Ferragamo Varina's. I like the flats because I can literally run in them if I have to, and as a mom and a stylist I am often running. I love the idea of being able to switch up the color scheme.  This is a great idea and I can't wait to customize it up! I wear these with distressed jeans and silk tops, dresses, skirts, shorts, everything really.  They are ladylike and classic and they give you instant polish.

Pantone Fashion Color Report Fall 2013 and J Crew Fall/Winter

Here it is my friends: Pantone's Fall 2013 Color report.  Keep these colors in mind for Fall. Come October first I will be pulling out my "Fall" clear bins from the attic and editing and organizing. Anything with these colors will be front and center in my wardrobe. I like to know what's coming so that I can save my money for Fall clothing (which I think is worth investing more in than Spring). I am excited about the Mykonos blue. I am going to wear this color with Carafe colored tall riding boots. I am also happy about the Acai purple. Since I was a little girl I have loved purple and like an excuse to wear it.

I always like to see what J Crew has cooking come Fall.  I feel like J Crew is a good bellwether for what's to come elsewhere in mainstream fashion.  Check it out below the color report:

My Favorite Sandal right now: Every color I'm afraid

I LOVE these sandals by Miz Mooz (Random but who cares. I am about style not brand)These have the perfect little wedge to make your legs look longer and will work beautifully with white skinny cropped jeans and a silk Maje top.  LOVE. Fair price too!!! I am ordering all 3 colors before these vanish.  These look like they dropped from a Parisian runway for $100 win win.
