This DIY project brought so much joy to me today. One of my very dearest friends, Sage, has a beautiful wood piece of furniture that hosted her "rooster"lamp. This piece of furniture weighs more than the two of us put together and is excellent quality. It was a chestnut brown and was in need of some sprucing. Sage is one of those amazingly gorgeous people who has elegant, classic good taste. Not only is she one of the best people I know but she is married to Charlie who wrote the new T.V. series Guys With Kids on NBC Wednesday nights, which we watch religiously. It is heartwarming, hilarious and you can watch it with your kids!
Here is a photo from earlier this year of Sage and Me at the Parker in Palm Springs:

The Curator goes to work! We lugged this down those terra-cotta steps and thankfully no one was injured!

Spraying with Rustolium Flat black spray paint
This is after all of the paint is on. Next came the gold edging.
This was super easy and fast, just eye-balled the line and painted on the gold shimmer paint.
Here are the knobs that might go in the holes:
This is the final product. TBD on the knobs, but I think it is GORGEOUS as is and such a fun update for Sage's jewel box home!
